Mixed girl hair feature: Agadir One ‘n Only Argan Oil Curl Cream

Okay, since this is in fact a “mixed lady” blog, I feel it is only necessary to write-up a review of a product I used recently on my mixed chick hair. Agadir One ‘n Only Argan Oil Curl Cream. In the past, I have always found it difficult to find a product that would keep my natural hair moisturized and controlled curly. Mousse doesn’t really work on my hair, as it leaves it dry and flaky after one day. I have used pure coconut oil before, but it leaves it over the top greasy…and I feel like cooking plantains afterwards.

This product insofar has been nothing short of amazing!

I used a hefty amount about the size of a quarter in my palm after detangling it from a good thorough washing. I rubbed the product between my palms and graciously spread it through out from ends to roots. (I have found like most people, my roots will naturally moisturize themselves over time) I was careful not to touch my hair until it was completely dry. (Mixed chicks, in case you were unaware, if you leave it alone until it is completely dry, you can fluff it out much more successfully without the excessive frizz) After it was dry (my hair is VERY THICK so it was a few hours respectively!) I ran my fingers through *lightly* only separating the parts that were too stuck together.

Voila! It wasn’t greasy on my hair but controlled it without the flakiness of mousse or hair gel. It was shiny and the curls were defined as if I wrapped each strand on a straw set. The smell of the Argan Oil product was clean and fresh, but not overpowering. It almost reminds me a bit of a man really…lol!

Keep in mind folks, all hair is different and surely you will have to try it to see! I highly recommend though!

You can buy it at Sally’s Beauty Supply right now for $7.99
