So this past weekend I had my first trip to New York City. My NYC virginity has been broken.
And I loved it. I loved every minute of it. That trip only solidified my urge to make a big move to the city. I found while visiting not only that the people there were not nearly as crass and jerklike as most people here in the South say they are, but they were in my opinion just as nice if not nicer than these folks down south. The city itself was not dirty like it has oftentimes been implied to be. It was quite beautiful. The sirens, the people the lights everything instantly drew me in. I was in heaven.
There is a certain pride about New Yorkers that I have never seen or felt before anywhere else. New Yorkers are a proud people and although very much so ethnically diverse, are very proud to be American. So to all of my “Yankee” family and friends, I salute you and enjoy every minute you have up in such an area rich in culture….
That said, farewell New York City. Until we meet again…
